The Hand Vacuum Pump is a versatile, handheld scientific instrument designed for exploring air pressure, vacuums, and atmospheric science in the classroom. Finished in a distinctive blue and supplied with an integrated pressure gauge, this pump allows students to safely create and measure reduced pressure during practical experiments.
The pump is supplied with a 500mm flexible tube with a 6mm inner diameter and can displace up to 725ml of air, with a pumping rate of approximately 15ml per pump. The built‑in gauge measures pressure up to 29 inches of mercury (in Hg), giving clear visual feedback during investigations.
Designed for educational use, the pump can be disassembled for servicing or oiling when required. It is not intended for heavy, continuous pumping or automotive applications, making it ideal for controlled classroom demonstrations and student‑led investigations.
Suitable for KS3, KS4, and secondary science, this hand vacuum pump is an excellent tool for demonstrating physical concepts linked to pressure and atmospheric science through practical, hands‑on learning.
