Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Better Equipped Educational Supplies Ltd. are committed to delivering products and service to the 100% satisfaction of their customers. To that end, the following terms and conditions apply:

Prices and Payment

All prices are in £ sterling and exclude UK VAT. Better Equipped Educational Supplies Ltd are required to add VAT (currently at 20%) to the cost of all goods bought by UK customers.

Delivery charges are not included in the prices quoted.

We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards. Credit Card payment or Paypal payment is taken once we have established that we can fulfil your order, checked details and stock availability and despatched your goods. We do not charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch your order.

We regularly monitor competitor and market place prices and we try to ensure we are the cheapest in the market (for like products).

Prices are reviewed and updated on a regular basis and may change without prior notice. If in the unlikely event there is a pricing mistake in one of our catalogs, promotional brochures or on-line, relevant to a product you are trying to buy, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will then have the choice to confirm or withdraw your order.

Satisfaction Guarantee:

Returns Policy

We offer a no quibble guaranty and as such if you are not 100% happy or satisfied with any product bought from us, you can return it to us in its original condition within two weeks of purchase, for a full refund or exchange.

Please report any breakages, discrepancies, or issues within two weeks of receipt of your delivery giving us full details of any such shortages, damages or errors with the goods or your order. Any delivery issues not reported within the two-week timeframe will be considered at the discretion of Better Equipped. Refunds will be made within 5-7 working of receiving the returned goods. Goods must be returned in their original condition to qualify for a full refund.

Returning the goods is at your own expense and postage is non-refundable. This can be done using your own courier or we can arrange to collect your return for £13 ex VAT per box. If items or packaging have been used, lost or damaged, we reserve the right to apply a repair or depreciation fee which will be deducted from any refund.

Please note we cannot accept returns for ‘high hazard chemicals’ (those with a UN number) due to the specific nature of these products (e.g. the need for a licensed courier to ship them and traceability of storage/contamination/packaging & shipping and associated safety implications).

Returns Procedure

You are welcome to return items via your own method, or we can arrange a collection upon request. If we do organise for the collection, we will have to recover the courier charges for the collection service which will be charged at £13 ex VAT per box (this is the cost we are charged by Parcelforce) and this will be invoiced to your account. If you return via your own method, there will of course be no additional charge from us.

In either scenario, we will need to send you a return form with a returns reference before items are returned back to us. This is to enable us to keep track of the return and make sure we can quickly identify who the returned goods are from so we can issue a refund as quickly as possible when the goods are returned.

Refund Policy

Goods which have been ordered in error or goods that the customer no longer needs are to be returned at the customers expense. For 'bulk goods' or goods where the manufacturer charges a restocking fee we reserve the right to pass on the full value of the manufacturers restocking cost. For ‘Made to Order’ goods (e.g. hazard cabinets) we will advise of the manufacturers restocking fee when the desire to return is shared with Better Equipped so you can make an informed decision on whether to keep or return the made to order item. Please note the vast majority of items we supply are shipped from stock and so we will not need to pass on a restocking fee for these items returned in their original condition.

All refunds will be made on the original payment method and can take up to 5-7 working days to show in your account.

If you wish to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to stop the order before packing and despatch and if successful you will receive a full refund / or payment will not be collected. If the product has already been despatched, then you will have to return the goods in their original condition to obtain a full refund.

Anti-Bribery Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish controls to ensure compliance with all applicable anti-bribery and corruption regulations, and to ensure that the Company’s business is conducted in a socially responsible manner.

2. Policy statement

Bribery is the offering, promising, giving, accepting or soliciting of an advantage as an inducement for action which is illegal or a breach of trust. A bribe is an inducement or reward offered, promised or provided in order to gain any commercial, contractual, regulatory or personal advantage. It is our policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery. We will uphold all laws relevant to countering bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate. However, we remain bound by the laws of the UK, including the Bribery Act 2010, in respect of our conduct both at home and abroad.

Bribery and corruption are punishable for individuals by up to ten years' imprisonment and a fine. If we are found to have taken part in corruption, we could face an unlimited fine, be excluded from tendering for public contracts and face damage to our reputation. We therefore take our legal responsibilities very seriously.

3. Scope

3.1 Who is covered by the policy?

In this policy, third party means any individual or organisation you come into contact with during the course of your work for us, and includes actual and potential clients, customers, suppliers, distributors, business contacts, agents, advisers, and government and public bodies, including their advisors, representatives and officials, politicians and political parties. This policy applies to all individuals working at all levels and grades, including senior managers, officers, directors, employees (whether permanent, fixed-term or temporary), consultants, contractors, trainees, seconded staff, homeworkers, casual workers and agency staff, volunteers, interns, agents, sponsors, or any other person associated with us, or any of our subsidiaries or their employees, wherever located (collectively referred to as employees in this policy).

This policy covers:

• Bribes;

• Gifts and hospitality;

• Training and communication;

• Who is responsible for the policy?

3.2 Bribes

Employees must not engage in any form of bribery, either directly or through any third party (such as an agent or distributor). Specifically, employees must not bribe a foreign public official anywhere in the world.

3.3 Gifts and hospitality

Employees must not offer or give any gift or hospitality:

• which could be regarded as illegal or improper, or which violates the recipient’s policies; or

• to any public employee or government officials or representatives, or politicians or political parties;

4. Training and communication

Training on this policy forms part of the induction process for all new employees. All existing employees will receive regular, relevant training on how to implement and adhere to this policy.

Our zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and as appropriate thereafter.

5. Who is responsible for the policy?

The board of directors has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with our legal and ethical obligations, and that all those under our control comply with it. Management at all levels are responsible for ensuring those reporting to them are made aware of and understand this policy and are given adequate and regular training on it. This policy does not form part of any employee's contract of employment and it may be amended at any time.
