Bare Copper Wire – 0.28 mm Diameter (32 SWG), 250 g Reel

This Bare Copper Wire is supplied on a 250 g reel and manufactured to a 0.28 mm diameter, equivalent to 32 SWG (Standard Wire Gauge). Extremely fine, flexible, and highly conductive, this wire is ideal for precision electronics, delicate circuit construction, and detailed coil‑winding activities. The bare copper finish ensures excellent electrical contact with crocodile clips, binding posts, and terminals, making it perfect for low‑current and sensitive experimental setups.

Lightweight and easy to shape, this wire is particularly suited to physics and electronics investigations where very thin conductors are required for accurate measurements and demonstrations.

Key Features

  • 250 g reel of bare copper wire
  • 0.28 mm diameter (32 SWG)
  • Excellent electrical conductivity
  • Very fine, flexible, and easy to form
  • Ideal for precision circuitry, miniature coil winding, and detailed experimentation
  • Suitable for prototyping, repairs, and specialist classroom demonstrations

Ideal for School Science Lessons

Perfect for KS3–KS5 physics and electronics, this fine‑gauge wire supports activities including:

  • Constructing miniature electromagnets and precision coils
  • Building delicate circuit connections and sensor assemblies
  • Investigating resistance changes with conductor thickness
  • Demonstrating behaviours of very thin wires under different electrical loads
  • Supporting experiments requiring low‑current, high‑sensitivity setups

A versatile, essential component for any school physics or electronics laboratory requiring fine, reliable conductors.
