Vibration Generator – KS3+ Wave and Frequency Demonstration Equipment

This Vibration Generator is a versatile, easy‑to‑use device designed for KS3 and above to support hands‑on learning in physics lessons on waves, vibrations, and oscillations. Simply connect the output of a square wave generator to the vibration unit, attach the ripple arm, and the generator produces smooth, electronically controlled vibrations ideal for demonstrating ripple patterns and wave behaviour.

Designed for classroom practicality, the vibration generator operates with a square wave signal adjustable up to 12 V (maximum) and can handle up to 15 watts of power. For full functionality, the accompanying square wave generator should provide a variable frequency range from approximately 1 Hz to 100 Hz, enabling a wide variety of waveform demonstrations.

This model is also fully compatible with the IPC Signal Generator & Amplifier (code 8965), making it easy to integrate into existing school laboratory setups.

Key Features

  • Suitable for KS3+ physics lessons
  • Provides electronically controlled vibrations for wave demonstrations
  • Simple setup: connect to a square wave generator and attach ripple arm
  • Operates with signals up to 12 V max and 15 W power
  • Compatible with 1–100 Hz variable frequency inputs
  • Works seamlessly with the IPC Signal Generator & Amplifier (code 8965)
  • Ideal for demonstrations of ripples, oscillations, and wave propagation

Ideal for School Science Lessons

This vibration generator is perfect for bringing wave theory to life in the classroom. Students can:

  • Observe how frequency and amplitude affect wave patterns
  • Create standing waves, ripples, and oscillations using different attachments
  • Link practical demonstrations to the study of transverse and longitudinal waves
  • Explore key concepts such as period, wavelength, and energy transfer

Robust, reliable, and classroom‑ready, this Vibration Generator is an essential resource for engaging and interactive physics teaching.
