The Xenon Digital Stroboscope is a compact, powerful teaching instrument designed for observing and analysing rapid motion in physics and engineering‑based science lessons. Suitable for KS4, GCSE, and A‑Level physics, this rugged unit provides clear, precise visual “freezing” of moving objects using bright xenon flashes.
Lightweight yet sturdy, the stroboscope features a variable flashing rate, allowing users to adjust the frequency to match the motion being studied. This makes it ideal for investigations involving rotation, vibration, oscillation, and periodic motion. The instrument is powered from a standard 240V, 50Hz mains supply, making it well suited to classroom and laboratory use.
With a wide operating range from 0.2 to 300Hz (equivalent to 60 to 18,000rpm), the stroboscope can accommodate everything from slow oscillations to high‑speed rotational systems. An external triggering input also allows synchronisation with other equipment for more advanced investigations.
This xenon stroboscope is ideal for secondary school physics lessons where detailed study of motion is required. It allows students to observe phenomena that are normally too fast to see, supporting both conceptual understanding and quantitative analysis.
Accurate, durable, and easy to operate, the Digital Xenon Stroboscope is a valuable teaching tool that brings high‑speed motion into clear view, helping students connect mathematical models with real physical behaviour.
