The IPC Signal Generator (IPC‑4744‑W) is a robust and versatile signal source designed for use in school and college physics laboratories. Capable of producing both sine and square wave outputs, it is ideal for a wide range of experiments involving sound, vibration, resonance, AC circuits, filters, and electronic system testing.
The generator provides a frequency range of 5 Hz to 50 kHz, selectable across four switched ranges, with an additional fine control for precise tuning. Output amplitude is continuously variable from zero up to 8 V peak‑to‑peak, providing flexibility for demonstrations and student investigations. The unit delivers up to 1 W into 8 Ω, making it suitable for driving loudspeakers, vibration generators, and other compatible loads.
Output is provided via two front‑mounted 4 mm sockets, ensuring simple and secure connection to laboratory equipment. For safety and convenience, the Signal Generator features an illuminated on/off switch and a fused IEC mains inlet, both located on the rear panel.
Housed in a strong metal case with a durable powder‑coated finish, the unit is built for long‑term, dependable use in busy educational environments.
Perfect for KS3–KS5 physics and electronics, this signal generator supports:
Reliable, versatile, and classroom‑ready, the IPC Signal Generator is an essential piece of equipment for physics and electronics teaching.
