Aluminium Oxide Calcined, also known as Alumina, is a high‑purity inorganic compound supplied in a 500g pack and manufactured to Laboratory Reagent (LR) grade. The calcined form has been heat‑treated to produce a hard, chemically stable material, making it ideal for use in educational science laboratories.
Identified by CAS Number: 1344‑28‑1 and with no UN number, aluminium oxide is not classified as hazardous for transport when handled appropriately. It is a white, insoluble powder with excellent thermal stability and chemical resistance, widely used to support teaching in inorganic chemistry and materials science.
Supplied in a generous quantity for repeated classroom use, Aluminium Oxide Calcined LR Grade is easy to store, measure, and incorporate into a wide range of practical investigations.
Aluminium Oxide Calcined is well suited to KS3, GCSE, and A‑Level chemistry lessons, particularly when studying metal oxides, ceramics, and industrial materials. Its stability and low reactivity make it especially safe for student investigations.
Stable, safe to handle, and curriculum‑relevant, Aluminium Oxide (Calcined) LR Grade 500g is a valuable teaching material that helps students understand the properties and applications of inorganic materials through clear, hands‑on laboratory learning.
