However, as with most aluminium foils, users should avoid storing, processing, or cooking acidic, alkaline, or salty foods in direct contact with uncoated foil. These substances can react with the foil, potentially causing degradation and the formation of small holes. This may result in foil fragments transferring to the food. To prevent this, we recommend lightly coating the foil with cooking oil before use.
