For optimal performance, we recommend pairing this unit with the IPC Light Gate (Code 80082). The light gate features a photodetector and light source housed separately in robust ABS casings, spaced 40mm apart on a plastic rod. When switched on, the light gate forms a short circuit that switches to an open circuit whenever the beam is broken—making it an ideal remote switching device for dynamics and motion experiments.
