A selection of materials in the form of rectangular blocks intended to familiarise the student with appearance, feel, texture, hardness and density of a range of common substances. The set consists of 2 each of seventeen blocks: 50 x 40 x 30mm softwood, hardwood, paraffin wax, aluminium, iron & foam polystyrene; 20 x 20 x 100mm perspex, glass, slate, aluminium, softwood, marble; 50 x 50 x 20mm lead; 50 x 50 x 80mm aluminium; 50 x 50 x 200mm hardwood; 20 x 20 x 50mm brass; 40 x 40 x 20mm iron.
