Lead(IV) Oxide (Lead Dioxide) – LR Grade, 500g (UN Approved)

Lead(IV) Oxide, also known as Lead Dioxide, is supplied in a 500g UN‑approved container and manufactured to Laboratory Reagent (LR) grade. This dark brown to black inorganic oxide is commonly used in educational chemistry laboratories for supervised study of oxidation states, redox reactions, and applications of heavy‑metal compounds.

Identified by CAS Number: 1309‑60‑0 and UN Number: 1872, lead(IV) oxide is an oxidising agent and a regulated lead compound. It must be handled with care and used strictly in accordance with appropriate laboratory safety procedures and COSHH risk assessments. Due to its toxicity and oxidative properties, use should be teacher‑led only.

Please note: this chemical is supplied exclusively to educational establishments. Customers must be logged in with an approved school or institutional account for the Add To Basket button to appear. Orders are shipped only to school addresses. Due to courier regulations, chemical products cannot be returned; this does not affect statutory rights.
