Invertase Concentrate is a biologically active enzyme supplied in a 10 g pack and produced to Laboratory Reagent (LR) grade. Invertase (also known as sucrase) catalyses the hydrolysis of sucrose into glucose and fructose, making it a key reagent for educational biology and biochemistry experiments.
Identified by CAS Number: 9001‑57‑4 and with no UN number, invertase is not classified as hazardous for transport when handled appropriately. Supplied in solid form, it offers good stability, long shelf life, and accurate preparation of enzyme solutions for classroom use.
This smaller pack size is ideal for individual classes, occasional practical work, or departments requiring only limited quantities of enzyme reagent.
Invertase Concentrate is particularly well suited to GCSE and A‑Level biology lessons, especially when studying enzymes, digestion, and carbohydrate metabolism. All use should be carried out under appropriate supervision and in line with school laboratory guidance.
Reliable, easy to prepare, and curriculum‑relevant, Invertase Concentrate LR Grade 10 g is a valuable teaching reagent that supports effective enzyme investigations while reinforcing good laboratory practice.
