Euromex BioBlue Monocular Microscope – Model BB.4240

The Euromex BioBlue Monocular Microscope (BB.4240) is a premium-quality educational microscope designed to deliver clear, bright and consistently sharp images. Perfect for school laboratories and science classrooms, this model features DIN WF 10x/18 eyepieces and achromatic semiplan 45mm DIN objectives (4x, 10x, S40x, S60x), ensuring an optimal field of view and excellent colour correction.

Its parfocally aligned optics on a standard 160mm DIN tube ensure that the image stays centred and in focus when switching between magnifications—ideal for smooth and efficient teaching demonstrations. The microscope’s coaxial coarse and fine focus mechanism, combined with spherically corrected optics, allows users to obtain very sharp and detailed images with ease.

Every BioBlue model includes a height‑adjustable Abbe condenser (N.A. 1.25) equipped with an iris diaphragm and filter holder, enabling precise light control for a wide range of microscopy applications. The BB.4240 is fitted with a large 130 × 130mm stage with vernier scale and an integrated mechanical X‑Y translation stage offering a smooth 70 × 28mm travel range.

Illumination is provided by a powerful yet cool‑running 1W adjustable LED light source. The built‑in universal AC power supply means there is no need for an external power adapter, while the internal rechargeable NiMH AA batteries allow up to 60 hours of continuous operation—ideal for extended practical sessions.

Engineered with user comfort in mind, the BioBlue features ergonomic adjustment knobs, a comfortable handgrip, and a robust aluminium stand equipped with a built‑in protection system to safeguard both the specimen and objectives. Supplied in a protective Styrofoam case, each model includes a dust cover, spare fuse and daylight filter.
