Electric Field Apparatus – Complete Demonstration Set (KS3+)

This Electric Field Apparatus is designed for clear and engaging demonstrations of electric fields between electrodes, making it ideal for KS3 and above. The set enables students to visualise electric field patterns using conducting ink or semolina in oil, helping them understand fundamental concepts such as field strength, direction, and electrode geometry.

Included is a clear 90 mm diameter Petri dish with a 12 mm depth, mounted on a transparent base (140 × 125 mm). The transparent base allows electric field patterns to be projected using an overhead projector, making it perfect for whole‑class demonstrations.

Each terminal features a thumbscrew adjustment system, enabling precise positioning of the electrodes for accurate and repeatable experiments.

The full apparatus is supplied with six interchangeable electrodes:

  • 2 × point‑source electrodes
  • 2 × line‑source electrodes
  • 2 × circular ring electrodes (35 mm and 70 mm diameter)

The setup requires a safe, low‑current‑limited 0–5 kV EHT supply (not included) for operation.

Key Features

  • Designed for demonstrating electric field patterns
  • Includes clear 90 mm Petri dish (12 mm depth)
