The Data Harvest Dynamics System 1.2m is a robust and versatile mechanics apparatus designed to support accurate investigations into motion, forces, and dynamics in school physics laboratories. Featuring a newly designed 1.2 metre aluminium track, this system provides a smooth, low‑friction surface that enables reliable and repeatable experimental results.
Constructed from extruded aluminium, the track offers excellent rigidity and includes an integral precision ruler for direct measurement of distances during experiments. For investigations into motion on slopes, a retort stand (not included) can be attached to convert the track into an inclined plane. This flexibility allows students to explore a wide range of mechanics concepts using a single system.
The system is supplied with a single low‑friction dynamics cart (blue or white, subject to availability). The cart features a spring‑loaded, three‑stop plunger that delivers a graded, constant force, making it ideal for controlled acceleration experiments. The cart can be further adapted by adding the supplied stackable masses or by attaching magnets for collision and interaction studies. The absence of onboard electronics makes this a cost‑effective and durable solution for teaching mechanics.
Also included are two end stops with integrated magnets, plus fittings for attaching and line‑feeding the supplied spoked pulley accessory. The kit is completed with two height‑ and slide‑adjustable feet, an interrupt card, and light gate brackets, allowing straightforward integration with timing and motion measurement equipment.
Ideal for GCSE and A‑Level physics, the Data Harvest Dynamics System supports hands‑on investigation of core mechanics principles. Its modular design and compatibility with light gates and pulleys make it suitable for structured practical work, demonstrations, and exam‑focused experiments.
Precise, adaptable, and classroom‑ready, the Data Harvest Dynamics System 1.2m provides a reliable foundation for teaching mechanics through practical experimentation, helping students build a strong understanding of motion and forces.
