BrightSparks Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) Module [2560]

The BrightSparks Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) Module is a robust and easy‑to‑use sensing component designed for the BrightSparks 4Kids modular electronics range. This module allows students to investigate how light intensity affects electrical resistance, providing a clear introduction to light‑sensitive electronic components.

Designed for safe use with 1.5–6V DC circuits, the LDR changes resistance depending on the amount of light falling on it—resistance decreases as light levels increase. This behaviour makes it ideal for simple automatic control experiments, such as light‑activated circuits. Electrical connections are made using two unpolarised 4mm plug‑in sockets, ensuring quick and straightforward setup for learners.

The module is fitted with non‑slip rubber feet to provide stability on classroom benches during use. Its durable construction makes it suitable for frequent handling in busy teaching environments.
