The Brightsparks Bulb Module 12V (ST002) is a robust, education‑ready lighting component designed for use with the BrightSparks 4Kids Electricity Kits. Built in a tough sealed ABS plastic enclosure, this module gives students a safe, reliable way to explore how bulbs operate in simple and more advanced low‑voltage electrical circuits.
This version includes a 12V MES‑type bulb, suitable for higher‑voltage demonstrations within the module’s safe operating range. The unit functions between 1.5V and 12V DC and connects via two unpolarised 4mm plug‑in sockets, allowing flexible placement of leads during experiments. The non‑slip rubber feet provide stability during classroom use.
Like all Brightsparks modules, this unit is designed exclusively for low‑voltage battery use and must never be connected to mains electricity. The module is fully RoHS compliant and built for repeated use in school science labs.
The Brightsparks Bulb Module 12V is ideal for KS1, KS2, and KS3 science, enabling pupils to investigate how bulbs behave at different voltages and how circuits operate under varying electrical loads. It is excellent for exploring brightness, resistance, component behaviour, energy transfer, and circuit structure.
