UV Light Source – Mains Powered Ultraviolet Lamp

This durable Mains Powered UV Light Source is housed in a rugged black plastic case designed for easy use on a desk, bench, or counter. Ideal for classroom demonstrations and laboratory investigations, it emits ultraviolet light that causes fluorescent materials such as inks, minerals, and dyes to glow brightly as they re‑radiate in the visible spectrum.

In addition to its educational applications, this UV lamp can be used for a wide range of practical purposes including banknote and stamp authentication, mineral identification, and security checks. The unit features a convenient top‑mounted on/off switch and comes with approximately 1 metre of mains cable. Replacement 4W fluorescent UV tubes are available to ensure long‑term use.

This compact and reliable UV light source operates on 220–240V AC and has overall dimensions of 180 × 120 × 75mm.
